Which of the two are better for the servant; At-Tasbeeh or Al-Istighfaar?

Answer:

Ibn Al-Qayyim said: I said to Shaikh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullahu ta’aala) one day: some of the people of knowledge asked: which of the two are better for the servant; At-Tasbeeh or Al-Istighfaar? So he said:

((If the garment is clean then incense and water from the watering place is better for it, and if it is dirty; then soap along with hot water is better for it.)) Then he said to me (rahimahullaah): ((so how is it when the clothes do not cease being dirty?))
